I moved to Chicago from rural Wisconsin in 2012. Very quickly, it struck me that while there are obviously many differences between where I grew up and the “big city”, there are also many similarities. Certain things, it seems, are universal to humanity – our desire to build beautiful things and then also to destroy them, our struggle to create space for ourselves, our temptation by the things that are “bad” for us.

There is no one truth… no one “right” way to be or live… there is simply the world the way we experience it. This blog shares my personal truth, via my experiences, as I explore.
