THE CAT COLD WAR: EPISODE 6

In an interesting turn of events, it appears that Volde-Floyd and Irish might be dating.

Casually.

On the sly.

But dating none the same.

It started during the debate two days ago. Irish, naturally introverted and a bit stuck up, really had not spent much time with Floyd until that night, but they stayed up late afterward talking politics, discussing issues with Chicago’s education system, and commiserating about the state of Illinois’ finances. They finished the evening with a rousing discussion of French literature (both are huge fans of Marcel Proust’s ‘The Way By Swann’s‘), and Rish realized that Floyd is more than just a hot bod and a bro-tank. Floyd, intrigued by the soul behind the claws, was captivated by Irish’s shy, yet forthright manner, tiny perfection and luxurious locks. But more than that, it was the mind behind the giant green cat eyes that struck him.

That night he walked her to her door, and they contemplated a nuzzle. They didn’t nuzzle because, let’s be honest, Irish is not a whore. But they thought about it.

Then yesterday, Irish and Floyd hung out in the living room together all evening. They were always sure to be perched atop different pieces of furniture so as to not attract attention, but the chemistry in the room was overpowering and obvious. Floyd was much more chivalrous than usual, almost entirely shutting away his dark-side Voldemort personality. He even let human number one pet him, as if to say to Rish, ‘Look, see, I’m an excellent family man’. She was obviously impressed, especially since number one has been her human-slave for over ten years now; any man in her life is going to have to get along with her slave.

Feebee was visibly pissed, and none of us are sure if it is because Floyd is her brother or her ex-boyfriend (we still can’t quite figure out that relationship). Either way, it was icy cat glares from human number two’s doorway most of the night.
